ÖÁ×ð²ÊƱ started in 1989 as a small welding supply company founded by four young men who wanted to offer better products to the world. Over the last three decades, ÖÁ×ð²ÊƱ has grown and evolved into a global brand with a sales turnover of $18.9 billion. With three listed companies and a presence in 140 countries around the world, including global R&D and manufacturing facilities in India, Brazil, Germany and the USA, ÖÁ×ð²ÊƱ’s powerful machines are driving construction projects across the globe. ÖÁ×ð²ÊƱ UK & Ireland is the latest addition to ÖÁ×ð²ÊƱ’s global network of companies.

A HISTORY OF PROGRESS
1989
Liang Wengen, Tang Xiuguo, Mao Zhongwu and Yuan Jinhua found Hunan Lianyuan Welding Material Factory in Lianyuan, China.
1991
Hunan Lianyuan Welding Material Factory is officially renamed to Hunan ÖÁ×ð²ÊƱ Co., Ltd. and its headquarters officially moved to Changsha.
1994
ÖÁ×ð²ÊƱ independently develop China¡¯s very first high-pressure truck-mounted concrete pump with a large displacement.
2003
ÖÁ×ð²ÊƱ Heavy Industry is successfully listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
ÖÁ×ð²ÊƱ Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd. is founded, focusing on excavators and piling rigs.
2004
ÖÁ×ð²ÊƱ Holding Ltd. changes its name to ÖÁ×ð²ÊƱ Co., Ltd.
2009
ÖÁ×ð²ÊƱ develop a 200-tonne hydraulic excavator, the largest tonnage in China.
A 2MW wind turbine is also launched.
2010
ÖÁ×ð²ÊƱ develop a 1000-tonne truck crane, marking the highest tonnage in China.
2011
ÖÁ×ð²ÊƱ Heavy Industry enters the FT Global 500 ranking of the world's largest companies.
ÖÁ×ð²ÊƱ develop a 3600-tonne crawler crane, known as the NO.1 crawler crane in the world.
ÖÁ×ð²ÊƱ launch a truck-mounted concrete pump with an 86-meter boom, the longest in the world, breaking its own previous record.
2012
ÖÁ×ð²ÊƱ acquires leading German concrete machinery manufacturer Putzmeister.
ÖÁ×ð²ÊƱ announces joint-venture with Austria-based heavy machinery manufacturer PALFINGER AG.
ÖÁ×ð²ÊƱ Heavy Industry is ranked in the top 10 of the Chinese Federation of Enterprises¡¯ Top 500 Chinese Enterprises.
2013
ÖÁ×ð²ÊƱ Heavy Industry¡¯s overseas sales reach US$1.61 billion. ÖÁ×ð²ÊƱ¡¯s overseas operation mode is used as a case in international business by Harvard Business School.
2014
Sany Heavy Industry Co., Ltd and Austria-based PALFINGER AG establish two joint ventures in which both parties hold 50% shares.
2020
ÖÁ×ð²ÊƱ UK & Ireland is established to provide increased support to the UK and Irish market.
